Landscape lighting can be the thing that takes your backyard from basic to bling, but undertaking a lighting plan for your yard can be an intimidating project. But have no fear, welcome to our landscape lighting store, where we’ll walk you through a basic overview of the various types of lighting you’ll find in a landscape and exactly what each of them is supposed to do.

What kind of power cable and transformer should I need?

e.g Suppose there is a set of 4 path lights (each 3W) and 2 flood lights (each 4.5W) need to be installed in the garden, How to choose the cable and the transformer?

1. Add the individual light fixture wattages for all lights. 4*3W+2*4.5W=21W

2. The typical distance between two lights is 6-8 feet, but closer or farther is ok too. Based on the above diagram, 6 lights total watts in 0-60 should choose 75-100ft 16AWG power cable.

3. Transformer is large enough to support the Total Fixture Wattage, it should be the best usage within 80 percent of the rated capacity. So in this case a 45W transformer is enough.

Note: A transformer that is too large for the load may overdrive the lamps which will shorten their life spans.

Great lights for fence

Easy to install, and placed only 20 inches from the fence it gives my 6 ft hardwood fence the the luxury feeling it deserves at night! Looks fantastic.

These are one of the top best low voltage lights lights

 I needed to find a solar light that I could fix to the side of my shed. Underneath the white little decorative rocks is cement so I could not put any old set of lights into the ground. I came upon the design and style of these lights. They are beautiful as you can see from the picture. Because of the lamp having a design of a straight rod, I was able to take some copper pipe clamps and screw the light onto my shed. You'd never know that it wasn't supposed to be mounted that way. Out of the years of buying merchandise off of Amazon I have to say this is one of my top five picks of being of high quality good design nice style.

Nice Wired LED Pathlights

Replaced my old wired pathway lights around the pool with these. Tried some solar bollard style but they were just not cutting it in terms of brightness so I put those elsewhere in the yard.They were easy to assemble. Just screw on the bottom pole, then screw on the stake. Clip the wires to your wiring(not included) from the power source. I actually chose to cut the clips and attached the wires directly.Turned out brighter than I anticipated and could not be happier with the final result. I just wish they last a long time. I will be buying extra just in case.

Excellent lights

These worked very well for our pathway. Nice warm white led light that casts a nice light pattern. These appear to be rebranded Hampton Bay products. That makes it easy if you need more but not in a four pack. I also purchased the matching flood lights and they look great together with matching light color.

Easy to install and lights are bright

This was the first time I installed low voltage lighting. I found the info on their website was very helpful in calculating the size of transformer and the size of wire I needed for the number of lights I installed. Because the lights were so bright I didn’t use all of them and now I’m going to put some in my backyard. I recommend these lights as you’re easy to install and look great my neighbors all went to get them as well.
